There are few words that will express
the way in which I felt that day,
the day when we first met and I asked,
half-embarrassed, for your kind help.
Still, the words are even fewer
that voice your smiling grace these hours since.
On this day of graceful expression,
since words fail the pursuit of truth,
I have sent these flowers to you.
From the garden of my blissful heart,
I convey these modest symbols.
Yet, these few blooms merely represent,
are only slight imitations
of the flower from The Garden
of eternal beauty that you are.
